Blogavad Gita- Ian Taylor

I feel like Arjuna because I have moments where I just DO NOT want to do something, but I do it anyways and a lot of times I feel better afterwards.

When you don’t wanna do something that you know you probably should, when you think about this, it gets a lot easier. Think that not doing it not only affects you but a lot of the time it affects someone else and you don’t want that. So you do it for the greater good.

In America, not everyone thinks they have a duty to do. Some people like to rely on others, while others make a living off of those people. There are a few amount of people in America today that would say they are doing exactly what they are meant to do to help the greater good. Others don’t care if they affect others or not. In ancient India, that way of life would not stand.

Now in ancient India, the Bhagavad Gita could be used as a tool of oppression, because some people may not be given a duty. If you hear that you should be doing something to help everyone and you are not, that would make you feel bad.

Feng Shui

My room was very hard to move through. Especially in the morning when it is dark. Now it is easier to move throughout my room without hitting anything. This new look not only impresses my parents but makes me feel better and more organized

The Taoist Walk

Although I am not sure what made this hole or why, it was very interesting and not something you notice very often.

Probably the most dominant feeling on the walk was just the crisp, cool september breeze. Most the time I am outside I am playing sports so I don’t get to enjoy the cool air the same way.

I’ve never been all the way back in the cross country path but it seems like a great place to compete. It DEFINITELY beats running around and around the track. It felt great just to be in nature other than locked in a building on a beautiful day and be able to enjoy it.

About Me!

Ian Taylor

Date of birth: June 21, 2000 (17 y.o.)

Pets: Dog named Zoey

I plan on going to college to major in an engineering field. I would like to go to a smaller school so I would be able to walk on in sports (maybe basketball). Unless I was to get a scholarship of course. I have played 5 sports in the past 2 years (football, basketball, baseball, track, and lacrosse). Unlike most people I enjoy playing multiple sports, they each bring something different to the table and test your ability to adapt.
